For Rent and Purchase

The R-75 DAF was originally designed for use in the mining and the oil & gas industry. Over the past couple of years, it's become apparent that it's robust heavy-duty frame and integrated components are perfect for emergency industrial pretreatment scenarios. We've deployed the R-75 to several customers that were out compliance on their discharge permits. The DAF is capable of running autonomously and can remove 99% of solids. The DAF can process 500GPM of water.

What's Included on Each DAF

  • 500 GPM Influent Pump
  • Dual 500 GPM Effluent Pumps
  • Dual KTM65S DAF Pumps
  • Dual Sludge Discharge Pumps
  • Heavy Grit and Solids Pump
  • Nitrogen Conversion System
  • 80 Gallon Air Compressor
  • Level Sensors
  • Influent Flow Meter
  • Polymer Batching System
  • Chemical Metering Pump
  • Chemical Flow Meter
  • Integrated Controls
  • 4G Communication  Equipment

    Controls

The controls have been designed by field engineers and operators for "real-world" scenarios. They come completely integrated with optimal presets, SMS and email alarms, built-in security, and 4G remote access.

    Compliance

The unit is equipped with a flow meter and monitoring software to keep you in compliance. The data is logged in a local database and can be emailed directly to any regulatory agency.

    Piece of Mind

With tens of thousands of hours in field operational time, the R-75 is one of our most reliable DAF systems. It is fitted with 24-hour duty rated pumps and has several built-in residencies.

    Support

WSI offers three levels of support packages the fit your needs. Our primary support avenues include; phone, email, and field support. You will also get access to our massive online knowledge base.

About Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Technology

The DAF unit acts to remove the suspended solids (TSS) from the wastewater source. The DAF pump recirculates DAF effluent and flash mixes it with ambient air (aspirated on the suction side of the DAF pump). The air dissolves into the effluent under the pressure of the pump.

The air-water solution is then passed through a saturation tank to allow additional time for the air to dissolve and to remove any coalesced air bubbles. The solution is then expanded across diaphragm control valves leading into WSI’s proprietary diffusers inside the body of the DAF. By reducing the pressure of the solution rapidly (expanding), the dissolved air is forced out of solution in the form of micro-bubbles (90% of the bubbles formed are less than 10 µm in diameter).

The small bubbles collect under the biomass floc and float it to the surface, forming a thickened sludge blanket on the surface of the DAF that is raked directly into a sludge holding tank. The DAF provides greater thickening of the sludge as well as a reduced footprint from a conventional clarifier. Settled sludge is periodically pumped to the sludge holding tank via a Seepex progressive cavity pump.
